*Court Issues Summon To Facebook Admin In Defamation Plea*  Srinagar, Mar 20 (GNS): A local court here has issued a notice to a Facebook admin in a defamation plea filed by a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) “Smile Foundation” for allegedly circulating “malafide videos” against it.  In an order, the court of Munsiff/Sub Registrar Srinagar Adnan Manzoor Naqashbandi, as per GNS, restrained the admin namely Mudasir Bashir, alias Mudasir Aziz, from 'interfering with the affairs of the NGO or uploading any video related to the organization.' The court also directed admin to remove all the related content to the case in hand from his Facebook pages. The admin has also been asked by the court to respond to the notice by the next date of hearing on March 26.                 *Man missing since Feb 29 found dead in Budgam village* Budgam, Mar 08 (KNO): Body of a man, who was missing since February 29 from his home in from Dalipora village, was recovered in the nearby Karewas of Badipora area in central Kashmir's Budgam district on Friday.  *Hawal acid attack: Court sentences convict to life imprisonment, fined Rs 40 lakhs* Srinagar, March 6 (GNS):  A court here on Wednesday sentenced a man to imprisonment for life for throwing acid on a woman at Hawal here on 1 February 2022.  The court of Principal Sessions Judge Srinagar Jawad Ahmed announced the sentence against the main convict, Sajid Altaf Sheikh of Buchwara Dalgate in a jam packed court, according to GNS correspondent present there. The court also imposed Rs 40 lakh fine on Sheikh. *Tral youth found dead under mysterious conditions in hostel at Punjab* KNO Correspondent Srinagar, Mar 04 (KNO): A BSc radiology student from South Kashmir's Pulwama district has been found dead under mysterious circumstances in the hostel of Desh Bhagat University in Punjab. As per the details available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a student namely Zahid Ahmad, son of Ab Qayoom Bhat of Gulab Bagh Tral was found dead at the hostel room.   ☑️ *Man from J&K shot dead outside Mohali mall* `Chandigarh,Mar 4: A man was shot dead in broad daylight outside a mall on a busy road at Sector 67 in Punjab's Mohali on Monday afternoon. The victim was identified as Rajesh Dogra, a resident of Jammu and Kashmir. The police and forensic teams said at least 19 bullets were fired at him by unidentified assailants. The police said they suspect the murder could be the fallout of an enmity. The body of the victim was taken to the civil hospital in Phase 6 and senior police officials reached the murder spot.

Police has dropped the names of social media users from the chargesheet who were examined during investigation of multi-crore scam. A bogus company operating under the name ‘Curative Survey Private Limited’ cheated the unsuspecting public through a fraudulent website by falsely promising them significant returns on their investments. “The chargesheet produced by police before the Srinagar Court has dropped the names of social media users after finding them not involved in the scam. All the seven accused named in chargeesheet are non-locals,” said Aamir Masoodi.
