Several videos were uploaded on X by KPDCL wherein it could be seen that many consumers were found tempering with the smart meters. According to an instant FIR copy accessed by Srinagar-based news-gathering agency Kashmir Dot Com, one Mudasir Bashir Bhat, son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Khayam, Srinagar, has been booked vide FIR no. 8/2024 under sections 341 (Wrongful Restraint), 354 (Sexual Assault), 499 (Defamation), and section 506 (Criminal Intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). *Court Issues Summon To Facebook Admin In Defamation Plea*  Srinagar, Mar 20 (GNS): A local court here has issued a notice to a Facebook admin in a defamation plea filed by a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) “Smile Foundation” for allegedly circulating “malafide videos” against it.  In an order, the court of Munsiff/Sub Registrar Srinagar Adnan Manzoor Naqashbandi, as per GNS, restrained the admin namely Mudasir Bashir, alias Mudasir Aziz, from 'interfering with the affairs of the NGO or uploading any video related to the organization.' The court also directed admin to remove all the related content to the case in hand from his Facebook pages. The admin has also been asked by the court to respond to the notice by the next date of hearing on March 26.  *Court sentences Bihar resident to 8 years in jail, imposes Rs 20000 fine for Srinagar minor’s rape* Srinagar, Mar 20 : Four days after convicting him, a fast-track court here on Wednesday sentenced a resident of Bihar to eight years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed Rs 20000 in connection with kidnapping and raping of a 15-year-old girl in Habba Kadal area of Srinagar in 2016.  Renu Dogra Gupta, 2nd Additional Sessions Judge (Fast Track Court pertaining to rape cases) also sentenced convict, Santosh Kumar Paswan S/o Saider Paswan R/o Lalpora Bhim Nagar Bihar in the case FIR No.32 of 2016 of Police Station Kralkhud Srinagar for the commission of the offences punishable under Section 363 RPC (kidnapping). The special kind of charity has also to be paid on behalf of the infants', emphasized Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam.  Notably, Sadq-e-Fitr is a religious charity paid by Muslims across the world by or before Eid-ul-Fitr prayers. The victim was identified as Rajesh Dogra, a resident of Jammu and Kashmir. The police and forensic teams said at least 19 bullets were fired at him by unidentified assailants. Police has dropped the names of social media users from the chargesheet who were examined during investigation of multi-crore scam. A bogus company operating under the name ‘Curative Survey Private Limited’ cheated the unsuspecting public through a fraudulent website by falsely promising them significant returns on their investments. “The chargesheet produced by police before the Srinagar Court has dropped the names of social media users after finding them not involved in the scam. All the seven accused named in chargeesheet are non-locals,” said Aamir Masoodi.
